Abstract
This article discusses the life and works of Dr. Tayka Shuʻayb ʻĀlim who is considered one of the greatest scholars of the 20th Century. He played a significant role in the field of Arabic and Islamic studies in Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. This article, further, mentions his most celebrated book “Arabic, Arwi and Persian in Sarandib and Tamil Nadu”, which is a valuable masterpiece about culture, politics, society, and the scientific, literary, and religious activities achieved by Muslim scholars in Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka.
