Abstract

This paper tries to investigate why Islam rejects the idea of adoption and encourages sponsors and care takers of orphans, who are rewarded by the all-powerful Allah. The sponsors of orphans are promised Paradise because they are the companions of the Messenger (PBUH) and are as close to him as the middle and forefinger in Paradise.

However, in today's society, adoption is preferred over doing this task without knowing that it will spoil the lineage ethics and many things that are currently legal become illegal things and vice versa by this act.

As a result, Islam forbids adoption in the context of the West and instructs Muslims to sponsor orphans and care for them following legal and appropriate standards to prevent the forging of lineages and the rights of orphans.
