Prophetic Guidance in Dealing With Children

Abstract

Granting with the offspring is one of the greatest blessings of Almighty Allah  upon the mankind. Only because of that, the continuation of the descendants, survival of lineage, strengthening of family tiesand the embodiment of the feelings of fatherhood, filiationoccur. The importance of this blessing increases and its value manifolds, if this offspring is characterized by goodness, righteousness, good manners, uprightness on the right path and being a good example for others to follow.

This great goal can only be achieved by caring for the child, raising him well, and taking care of all his affairs from his birth until he becomes independent in his life.The Prophet (Pbuh) had set the highest example through his transparent life in explaining his guidance for dealing with this important segment of society as it is the future of the nation and its inexhaustible source.

The Prophet (Pbuh) was extremely merciful and compassionate towards young children and dealt with them in a good manner. He instructed his followers and his community to fear Almighty in their children, to pledge to care for them, protection, good upbringing and to choose a good environment inside and outside the home.So that they are not subject to any influences that prevent them from acquiring the noblest morals and the great virtues in life.

This research seeks to determine the guidance of the Prophetin dealing with children through the Prophetic traditions in addition to the examples and methods portrayed by Prophet in his life in raising children and dealing with them.
