The Aesthetics of Prophetic Praise and Hadith Scholarship in the Nasheed of Imam al-Bukhari by the Scholar-Poet al-Hajj al-Nahwi I.l.Sayyid Ahmad Muthu Vapa al-Fasi (may Allah have mercy on him)
Abstract
This study presents a descriptive and analytical reading of the Arabic hymn “Sayyidunā Bukhārī Imām”, composed by al Shāʿir al ʿĀlim al Ḥājj al Naḥwī I.L.Muthu Wābā al Fāsī (raḥimahullāh). The hymn reflects the spiritual, scholarly, and aesthetic identity of the Hamidiyya school, portraying Imām al-Bukhārī as a symbol of sacred knowledge, moral authority, and divine blessing. Through textual, stylistic, and thematic analysis, the study demonstrates how devotional poetry functions as both cultural memory and pedagogical instrument in Islamic tradition.Key words: Imam al bukhari , Hamidiya hymns ,Sufism ,praise ,Islamic heritage , Muthu waba Al Aalim Al Fasi, poetry.
