Abstract
Utilising multimedia elements in the instruction of Islamic studies and the Ilmu Qur'an. The complexity of modern multimedia technologies is a huge challenge for educators to consistently play important roles in the global spread of information in the age of globalisation. This problem should not be perceived as a menace but rather embraced as a valuable opportunity for the education sector, capable of yielding remarkable outcomes when the instruments are employed with precision and prudence. The primary objective of this article is to examine the utilisation of multimedia in the educational process. This study presents the researchers' experience in employing multimedia as effective instruments to enhance the learning process of the Qur'an and other Islamic studies at Islamiyyah schools, universities, and colleges of education. In Islamic education, proficiency in information and communication technology (ICT) serves as an indicator of knowledge attainment and should be utilised to seek the truth. Therefore, researchers have utilised several multimedia techniques to both lead students towards the truth and enhance the enjoyment of the teaching and learning process. These include PowerPoint slides, video snippets, mind maps, and the internet. Consequently, students discovered that the subject of Islamic studies is highly captivating and enjoyable. We can demonstrate that it is indeed feasible to transform a dull and monotonous subject into a stimulating and engaging lesson.
